Murder-for-hire target was suspects’ mother

Long Beach – A Northern California woman and two acquaintances are behind bars for allegedly plotting to murder her mother, Long Beach authorities said Monday.

Holly Ramos

Two of the suspects, Frank Haverly and Holly Ramos, allegedly hired the third, Keith Phillips, to kill Ramos’ mother.

Phillips allegedly threatened the 62-year-old victim, who lives in Long Beach, with a baseball bat, telling her he was there to kill her.

The mother was seeking custody of Ramos’ two children, according to reports. Police are trying to confirm whether or not that was the motive.
