Wrestling coach punches, chokes student out, deputies say

Villa Park- An Orange County high school wrestling coach is in hot water for allegedly putting a student in a choke hold until he passed out.

Emmanuel Hernandez, 26, of Orange, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony battery.

Hernandez is also accused of punching the student in the back of the head after he went unconscious.

What prompted the attack was not made clear. Hernandez was being held in jail on $100,000 bail.
