Police Seize Drugs and Arrest Three in Tehachapi Probation Sweep

Police have arrested three individuals suspected of selling methamphetamine in the rural mountain town of Tehachapi in eastern Kern County.

Arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for assorted narcotics related charges were 26-year-old Sara Regester, 45-year-old Eric Gonzales Sr. and 43-year-old Janee Lee, all residents of Tehachapi.

According to a Kern County Sheriff’s press release, the three subjects were taken into custody during a probation sweep that was conducted by Officers from the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

During their search, officers said they discovered approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, along with several items used in the sales of methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the narcotics seized by law enforcement is approximately $6,000.
