El Cerrito Man Surrenders In Yreka Gold Robbery

El Cerrito’s David Dean Johnson turned himself in to authorities Thursday after being charged in a gold robbery.

Johnson, 49, and Scott Wayne Bailey, 51, of El Sobrante are two of the suspects in the Jan. 31, 2012 robbery at the Siskiyou County Courthouse. Burglars broke into the courthouse and stole $1,257,500 in gold, jewelry and artifacts.
