Shasta County Man Added to U.S. Marshal’s “Most Wanted” List

The U.S Marshals Service has added a Shasta County man to their “Most Wanted” list.  45 year-old Shane Franklin Miller is wanted on three counts of murder as a primary suspect in the deaths of his wife and two young daughters.

The events leading to the murders of his family members began on April 20th of this year, when Shasta County Deputies were dispatched to the Miller’s residence to the report of a domestic dispute between Miller and his 34 year-old wife Sandra.

With the help of Shasta County Deputies, Sandra was able to leave their home and was taken to a motel in Humboldt County. However, Miller was able to trace his wife’s whereabouts and returned her to their home.

Later on May 7th, a 911 call was received by the Shasta County dispatch from a sobbing woman, with loud bangs sounding over the phone.

Shasta County Sheriff’s instantly went to the home, where they found the bodies of Sandra and their two daughters, ages 5 and 8. Investigators later confirmed that their deaths were caused by gunshot wounds.

Authorities were able to find Miller’s truck 200 miles away in Humboldt County, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to find him.

A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading directly to Miller’s arrest. If you have information, contact the nearest U.S. Marshal’s office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications center at 1-800-336-0102.
