Pair Arrested for Drug Trafficking

A Bakersfield pair has been arrested for drug trafficking by officers conducting a routine probation search.

2700 Cornell Street

Arrested was 33-year-old Tish Whitlatch for being under the influence of a controlled substance and 32-year-old Matthew Whitlatch for being in possession of a controlled substance, possession for sales of pharmaceutical drugs and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The two were arrested at approximately 5 p.m. on June 24, after deputies from the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team discovered methamphetamine and several illegally possessed prescription medications in a residence in the 2700 block of Cornell Street in northeast Bakersfield.

Deputies arrived at the residence after receiving complaints related to drug dealing.
