Armed Man Robs Three People in Rockridge

Oakland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed three people in the 5300 block of Locksley Avenue about 9 p.m. Tuesday evening.

One victim suffered an ankle injury when he chased the suspect and retrieved the stolen items, police said.

The incident took place near the corner of Miles Avenue and Clifton Street, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male 25 to 35 years old, about 6’2″ tall and weighing about 240 pounds. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, and he drove off in a gold or silver 1990s Toyota Corolla after the robbery, police said.
