Lemoore Man Crashes Car into Grover Apartment

GROVER BEACH – A Lemoore man was taken to San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of drunken driving Sunday evening after fire personnel extricated him and his passenger from his 2010 Ford Taurus, which the man crashed into a parked vehicle in the 100 block of North Fourth Street.

Patrick Jeff, 26, of Lemoore, was allegedly driving under the influence when he hit a parked, unoccupied 2005 Toyota Tundra around 8:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day with his compact sedan, causing  Jeff’s vehicle to roll over into the front yard of an apartment complex, police said.

Emergency responders had to extricate Jeff from the vehicle, along with his 21-year-old passenger, who was transported by ambulance to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.  Jeff was treated at the scene and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, police said.

The small apartment complex was inspected by the Grover Beach building inspector, and one of the three apartments at the site was determined to be unsafe for occupancy.
