Detectives began their investigation after two victims came forward with allegations against Seabolt. Salinas Police Officer Miguel Cabrera said, “The Marina Police is also looking into this case,” and that “they are working with both sports league to see if there are more victims.”  Both victims were under the age of 14 years-old, and both cases will be investigated individually.

Seabolt is involved in many activities that involve children in the city of Marina.  He is the coach for both Marina Youth soccer and baseball teams and sits on both league’s boards.

Within the past year, Seabolt was also an active volunteer at the Marina Youth Center. The Marina Youth Center offers a variety of recreational opportunities for youth.   The Youth Center is open to children from ages 5 through 12.  It is the Staff’s goal to teach the fundamentals of courtesy, kindness, respect, and social skills.

Seabolt was contacted by Salinas Police in the city of Marina on Sunday May 5 and was arrested on the allegations.  He was booked into the Monterey County Jail.  Seabolt has been charged with child molestation and lewd acts on a minor.  At time of this report, his bail is yet to be determined.

This investigation is still in the early stages and the Salinas Police Department is looking for anyone that believes their child has had contact with Mr. Seabolt, and asks them to contact the Police Department at (831) 758-7226. They are also encouraging anyone who may have information regarding allegations of sexual assault to contact their local law enforcement agencies.
