Women “Screwed” in Boyfriend Debate

Jealousy, the green-eyed monster, has ruined many relationships, but in Shasta County 42-year-old Katherine Lunsford ended up in a hospital after she confronted Melissa Crespo, 29 about talking to her boyfriend.

According to the sheriff’s reports, Crespo came to Lunsford’s residence to ask her boyfriend for a ride to work. Lunsford saw the two talking as she was leaving the residence and came back, with her car “key,” a screwdriver, to ask Crespo about why she was talking with her boyfriend. Crespo apparently felt threatened by Lunsford’s screwdriver as she took out a knife and got into a physical altercation with Lunsford. During the altercation, Lunsford received a 4 inch cut to her arm from Crespo’s knife and had to be transported to a hospital for stitches.

Crespo attempted to flee from the scene, but was detained after a short foot pursuit. Instead of a ride to work, Crespo got a ride to the Shasta County Jail from the sheriff’s deputy.
