Suspicious Pair Arrested Outside La Mesa Home; Attempted Burglary Suspected

Residents of a house on High Street near Waite Drive noticed two strangers attempting to open a door and peeking into windows Saturday afternoon, and police arrived and arrested two suspects, according to La Mesa police.

The suspects were identified as Alonzo Gibbs, 42, and Mary Gomez, both of San Diego. During the investigation Gibbs attempted to hide his identity by providing the name of his brother, according to police.
