Sacramento PD Arrests Sexual Assault Suspect

The Sacramento Police Department (SPD) has arrested the manager of a youth baseball team in the northern area of Sacramento on sexual assault charges, according to an official press release.

Daniel Kirk, 42, has reportedly been arrested for multiple counts of lewd acts and molesting a child. He was taken into custody on Friday, April 26, after a warrant was issued by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the SPD, a teenage victim reported that a family member — suspect Kirk — has sexually assaulted him multiple times over the past four years. At least one assault is reportedly believed to have occurred in the City of Sacramento, and other instances may have taken places while the victim and suspect were together in an outside jurisdiction.

The SPD is asking anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact the dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-HELP (4357).
