Woodland PD say Home-invasion report was fake

WOODLAND – On Friday, Woodland police disclosed that Thursday’s report of a teenager being held at gunpoint was fake.  At approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a robbery at an apartment in the 200 block of North College Street and spotted two suspects walking in the 700 block of Court Street, allegedly carrying the stolen belongings.

Police arrested a juvenile male, 17, and 18-year-old Anjay Singh for robbery, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.  The 17-year-old was booked at Yolo County Juvenile Hall.  Singh was booked at the Yolo County Jail.

Through questioning, it was learned that the 13-year-old juvenile who had reported the robbery, had falsely reported the incident.  He is in custody at the Yolo County Juvenile Hall for filing a false police report.

Singh was released from the Yolo county Jail with no charges. The 17-year-old juvenile was also released without charges
