Vacaville police arrest pair on suspicion of possession

VACAVILLE – Michael Macburnie, 30, of Sacramento and Rikki Fanning, 32, of Dixon were arrested Thursday and both were charged with methamphetamine possession. Macburnie was also charged with violation of probation and being a felon in possession of a weapon.

In a Vacaville Police Department Narcotics Team (VPDNET) operation that entailed multiple search warrants in Dixon and in Sacramento, the methamphetamine and cash were located and seized in both cities. Six firearms were taken from a residence in Sacramento. According to a police press release, the total street value of the methamphetamine seized is estimated to be $16,500. Of the total amount, $14,000 was located in Sacramento.

Macburnie and Fanning are the primary suspects in the case, both were arrested and booked.

VPDNET was assisted in this case by the Vacaville Crime Suppression Team (CST), the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CalMMET / SOLNET), as well as the Sacramento Police Department SWAT, K9 Detail and the Sacramento CST.
