Parolee Allegedly Put Gun to Man's Head to Discourage Court Testimony

A man is back in jail Tuesday after allegedly putting a gun to a man’s head on Seacoast Drive last week, according to Sgt. Joel Stranger with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Imperial Beach substation.

Around 8:30 a.m. March 20, 52-year-old Mark Reamer saw the victim in his car around 2nd Street and Palm Avenue then allegedly approached him on the street in the 700 block of Seacoast Drive and put a semiautomatic handgun to his head, Stranger said.

“It looks like the suspect made a comment about calling him a rat and telling him not to testify against him, but the victim said he’s not involved in any case against him,” he said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, Stranger said.
