Sacramento Natives Arrested in Human Trafficking Scheme

Santa Rosa police officers got more than what they were expecting when they responded to a report of domestic violence this past Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman being forced into commercial sex trafficking. Officers from the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Investigations Team were called to take over the investigation. As the investigation progressed, the lead investigator learned of two other women who were brought from Sacramento to Santa Rosa several weeks prior for prostitution.

One of the women posted information on the internet regarding the case, which helped investigators conduct a sting operation at a local hotel. Once officers made contact, three suspects were arrested:

1)      A 27 year-old female resident of Sacramento was cited for prostitution and was later released

2)      23 year-old Glen Harris of Sacramento

3)      25 year-old Jerome Martin of Sacramento

Harris was charged with human trafficking & pimping; Martin was charged with aiding & abetting human trafficking and  pimping. Both men were later booked at the Sonoma County jail.
