A Dozen Machine Guns Discovered at Gold River Residence

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives made a unique discovery in Gold River when they served a search warrant on a local residence last Saturday, February 23.

The Sheriff’s IMPACT Division detectives have been conducting an investigation after a tip that a Gold River resident, Jack Hosley, 47, was in possession of numerous illegal weapons. The search warrant, following the investigation, revealed a dozen machine guns at Hosley’s residence along with a “nominal amount” of meth and child pornography. After the discovery of Holsey’s “armory,” the investigators seized the illegal property and arrested Hosley on multiple charges.

He was booked into Sacramento County Jail with a bail set at $75, 000 for unlawful possession of an assault weapon, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, and possession of child pornography. His first court appearance is scheduled on Thursday, February 28.
