Lexington Inn Robbed Twice Within 48 Hours

San Luis Police are searching for a suspect(s) who robbed the Lexington Inn at gunpoint.

According to SLOPD, an unknown male suspect wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask entered the Lexington Inn, located at 2050 Garfield Street, and approached the front desk clerk. The first robbery occurred on Thursday around 11:40 p.m.

According to a witness, the suspect produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fled the scene after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk.

SLOPD officers responded and checked the area, but after an extensive search, officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, approximately 5’-10”, 150 pounds with light brown eyebrows and dark circles under his eyes.

It is unknown at this time if a vehicle was used during this crime.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the first robbery.

According to SLOPD, the second robbery at the Lexington Inn occurred on Saturday around 10:51 p.m.

Investigators say that although the suspect descriptions are similar, it is unknown at this time if the robberies are related.

The investigation into both robberies is ongoing.

“Investigators have interviewed several witnesses and are asking the public for assistance,” Patrol Sergeant Chad Pfarr said.
