SLO Resident Arrested in Miami for Possession of Child Porn

A San Luis Obispo resident was arrested this month by the Miami Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for federal charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Jason Andrew Lytle

According to SLOPD, Jason Andrew Lytle, 28, of San Luis Obispo, is a registered sex offender in the city of San Luis Obispo and failed to respond to the police department when contacted.

Police say they received information that Lytle had downloaded child pornography onto his computer and they served a search warrant at his residence.

At the conclusion of the service of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices were removed from the location and a forensic examination of the computers revealed a substantial amount of child pornography.

Police say Lytle had not returned to his apartment and his current location was at that time unknown. Based on the evidence seized at Lytle’s apartment a warrant was issued for his arrest.

After four months, Miami FBI have now apprehended Lytle.  He still faces the charges from California.
