A young woman was arrested after allegedly punching another woman in what appears to be a case of road rage.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, police arrested an 18-year-old woman after she allegedly got mad that another driver was honking at her.

The conflict began near a shopping center on Redwood street

At about 4:10 p.m., a woman, the victim, was driving on Redwood Street when she passed by a shopping center parking lot. Another vehicle, driven by the suspect, allegedly cut the victim off, failing to give the victim the right-of-way. The victim honked at the suspect, causing the suspect to become upset.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the suspect then began to follow the victim, while she yelled profanity at her. The suspect, who was in the vehicle with her mother, then allegedly ran her car into the victim’s car purposely. The suspect then walked up to the victim and punched her in the face, police said.

Police were called by witnesses in the area. Jasmine Bell, 18, was arrested and booked into Solano County jail.
