Cambria Man Arrested for Murder of Half-Brother

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Cambria man for allegedly murdering his half-brother.

According to the SLO Sheriff’s Department, Brandon Noble Henslee, 22, of Cambria was arrested and charged with the murder of Tyler Daniel Hanks, 20, also of Cambria last Friday.

Investigators say they discovered Hanks’ body in a wooded area in Cambria on August 26 after he was reported missing from his home in the 400 block of Leighton Street.

Investigators say Henslee is the half-brother of Hanks and was living with the victim at the time of the murder.

Specifics of the murder are not being released at this time.

Henslee was already in custody at the SLO County Jail since his arrest on August 26 on a parole hold.

According to the SLO Sheriff’s Department, this is an isolated incident and Henslee is the primary suspect responsible for the death of Hanks.
