Suspect Arrested for Making False Police Report

The Citrus Heights Police Department (CHPD) has reportedly arrested a suspect for making a false police report and being under the influence, according to an official press release.

The woman reported being imprisoned in an apartment in this area of Fair Oaks in Citrus Heights

On September 18 at 3pm, officers from the CHPD reportedly responded to the 12800 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard. The reporting party, Nicholl Schmid, 31, stated there were male subjects with guns inside her apartment not allowing her to leave.

Officers reportedly received information that Schmid was located inside the apartment with one male adult. Officers made contact with the adult male, who exited the apartment without incident. After negotiating with Schmid, she agreed to peacefully exit the apartment and was detained.

After further investigation, Schmid was reportedly placed under arrest for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and making a false police report. She was transported and booked into the Sacramento County Jail without incident.
