Robbery Suspect Shot, Killed in Folsom

FOLSOM – A late afternoon robbery turned deadly as Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies joined Folsom Police officers in a chase that led through a local business section and into a residential neighborhood.  Police spotted the suspect not long after the 5:11 p.m. robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank on Bidwell Street on Tuesday.

The ensuing chase led police through the nearby Target parking lot, onto the roof of Target and then onto the 1300 block of School Street behind the business complex.   The suspect entered a home on School Street, surprising its residents.  He left the home and immediately returned inside after encountering pursuing law enforcement.
