The Paso Robles Police Department is asking the public for help in finding a person who may be connected to a shooting near a Paso Robles liquor store on July 27.

Jose DeJesus Hernandez, Jr.

According to PRPD, they are searching for Jose DeJesus Hernandez Jr., 28, of King City. Police are calling Hernandez a ‘person of interest’.

According to PRPD, an investigation with the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Gang Unit and the King City Police concluded the shooting was gang related. Police say rival gangs from Paso and King City shot at each other. The names of the gangs were not released in the press release.

Police also say Hernandez is in violation of parole and is wanted by parole officials.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Hernandez’s current location should call 237-6464.
