Vallejo transient found shot twice in alley

A Vallejo man who had been shot twice was found in an alley early on Sunday morning.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the 49-year-old man, who was a transient, was near Tennessee Street and Sonoma Boulevard when he managed to get the attention of police by yelling for help from them at around 4 a.m., Lt. Lee Horton said.

Police were not sure what was wrong with the man at first, as he was not able to tell them, Horton said. Police finally were able to search and discovered two gunshot wounds on the man. One of the wounds was in his groin area, the other was found to be in the man’s abdomen, Horton said.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the man was last determined to be in serious but stable condition. He was hospitalized at a nearby trauma center.  The incident is still being investigated according to police.
