“As of right now we know of one case that we can charge him with, but there are some cases that are still pending.” Monterey County Investigator Terry Rahiri Said.

The Monterey County Sheriff Department and MADCAT unit along with the help of other agencies were able to follow-up on leads to locate and arrest Castro. He had been eluding the authorities for almost four years.

“We are still working on this case but we do know of at least one case that involved him,” San Benito County Sheriff Detective Sergeant Lomonica said. “We are working closely with the Monterey County Sheriff Department on this case.”

During the four years that Castro has been eluding the Authorities it is believed that he has sold numerous pieces of agriculture equipment that included several tractors and irrigation equipment to unsuspecting buyers.

Authorities are requesting that anyone with information pertaining to Mario Garcia Castro or anyone who has purchased equipment from him call either the Monterey County Sheriff Department at 831-755-3772 or the TIP line at 888-833-4847.
