Cupertino jewelry store robbed at gunpoint

A Cupertino jewelry store was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on Monday and Santa Clara County sheriff’s investigators are scrambling to identify the suspects.

Authorities say three masked men entered Vardy’s Jewelers, located at De Anza Boulevard and Rodrigues Avenue, at about 11:15 a.m. armed with handguns. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of merchandise and were last seen fleeing on foot westbound on Rodrigues Avenue.

Sheriff’s officials are currently reviewing surveillance footage and hope to be able to release a further description of the suspects later today.
