Mr. Chavez was charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest.

He was additionally charged with violating a protective order that arose from an October 30 incident where Mr. Chavez was charged with marijuana possession, issuing false identification to a law enforcement officer, domestic violence and battery causing serious bodily injury.
