Classes resume following bomb threat at American River College

SACRAMENTO – A bomb threat forced the evacuation of hundreds of students at American River College in Sacramento late Thursday afternoon.

Campus police received a call at 2:55 p.m. that a bomb was inside Davies Hall, according to the office of the Campus President.  All students, staff, and faculty were escorted out while police swept the building.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department conducted the search and within an hour found it clear of any explosive devices.

No arrests have been made and students returned to class by Thursday evening.
