Woman facing multiple charges in alleged elder scam

CITRUS HEIGHTS — An employee of an assisting living center was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing from elderly residents.

Citrus Heights police say Michelle Walker, 34, may have had people working with her to steal credit cards, money and other items from several elderly people.

Investigators did not reveal where Walker was employed, but confirmed there may be more victims at other assisted living centers in the area.

Walker faces a long list of charges including felony burglary and embezzlement by an elderly caretaker.

Officers said Walker had accomplices and more arrests may be coming.
