Shipping store robber concealed identity with motorcycle helmet

SACRAMENTO — After more than a month with no arrest, Sacramento police are hoping the public can help identify the man who robbed a local store clerk at gunpoint wearing a face-covering motorcycle helmet.

The robbery occurred Friday, Aug. 6 at 1:43p.m., when the suspect entered a local mail shipping store located in the 3100 block of Folsom Boulevard and forced an employee to turn over cash. The suspect, described as a thin, 6-2 African American male with curly hair, then fled. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a gray suit with a salmon-colored dress shirt, black gloves and a black, full-face motorcycle helmet.

Detectives are releasing surveillance video images of the suspect in hopes that someone will come forward with information needed to identify him.
