Man dressed like woman robs Sacramento convenience store

SACRAMENTO — To paraphrase Aerosmith, dude looks like a very ugly lady.

Local authorities have release surveillance video images of a male suspect who dressed like a “red hat lady” before robbing a gas station’s convenience store in the 8900 block of Pocket Road last Tuesday night.

The unidentified suspect, described as an African American man in his early 20s, was wearing a pink hat, pink shirt, pink and black plaid skirt, and pink high heel shoes when he entered the convenience store the night of Sept. 14. The 5-10 male entered the store at 9:09 p.m. and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, taking cash from the register before fleeing on foot in his high heels.

Detectives have released two highly pixilated images from the surveillance video in the hopes someone will recognize the suspect and come forward with information needed to identify him.
