Home invaders caught after raid; two suspects remain on the loose

NEWPORT BEACH — Three men are in custody after their home invasion robbery resulted in head injuries for three victims inside the home.

Mickael Andre Hastings, 36, and Antoine Bashiri Boyd, 31, both of Los Angeles, and Peter Joseph Paturzo, 44, of Mission Viejo were all arrested near the home at 3 Longboat, in the gated Pelican Ridge development, after police received several calls from the home reporting a robbery in progress.
According to police, the calls came in at approximately 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, after four men armed with pistols stormed the house while a fifth man waited outside.

Police quickly responded and were able to track down Hastings — who had injured his ankle while attempting to escape — in a neighboring yard, and Boyd as he attempted to drive away and Paturzo who was sitting in a parked car.

All three face robbery charges and are being held for $100,000 bail.

As of Wednesday morning, the two other suspects, both believed to be armed, remained at large with police from several different agencies continuing to search for them.

Of the three victims that had suffered head injuries during the robbery, two were reportedly treated at the scene while the third victim was reportedly taken to the hospital.

The Orange County Register reports that, as of January, the home had belonged to Daniel Sadek, a once prominent subprime mortgage lender who has more recently suffered major financial difficulties, according to multiple news sources.

A Mercedes Benz also reportedly caught fire at the same residence early Thanksgiving morning, lightly damaging the home before firefighters put it out.
