Three arrested for attempted murder

ELK GROVE — Two individuals were arrested this morning in Elk Grove for attempted murder and robbery, Jose Jauregui, 19 and a 16 year old male juvenile after warrants was served at two residences bring the total to three.
The shooting occurred last night at around 8pm near Bluefin Way and Dove Shell Way.

The Elk Grove Police Department responded to the  Kaiser Hospital located at the 9200 block of Big Horn Blvd. in response to two individuals who had been shot at another location. The two teenaged victims a 17 year old and a 16 year old had suffered gunshot wounds to their torsos.

Detectives  identified a 17 year old male as a primary suspect responsible for the shooting. When detectives located the suspect he tried to flee on a bicycle, but no dice.

During the investigation information came forth that two other  individuals were suspected in connection with the shooting and was possibly located at the 4200 block of 41st Ave. in Sacramento.

The two warrants served by the Elk Grove Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T) and Hostage Negotiation Team (H.N.T) were served at the 4200 block of 41st. Ave and the 6200 block of Di Lusso Dr. The warrant served at the 41st Ave address revealed a small caliber revolver believed  to be used in the shooting.

Detectives at this point believe that the shooting was not gang related nor a random act of violence, as the suspects and victims have prior knowledge of each other.
