Sac PD have Shooting Suspect in Custody

(SACRAMENTO) — Police yesterday arrested a 49-year-old woman for the March 21 shooting death of Fernandez Nunez.

Sgt. Norm Leong, Sacramento Police Dept., stated that Woods has been charged with manslaughter and negligent discharge of a firearm. She was arrested without incident at her North Sacramento home.

 

On March 21 of this year, Leong said that police officers had been alerted to large fight near Altos and Eleanor Avenue. “There’d been reports of shots fired,” he said. “When our officers got there, they found Nunez — who had been shot — and a victim injured during the fight.”

Nunez, 25, later died at U.C. Davis Medical Center.
