Man and Woman Arrested in Stockton after Chase

Around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrested a Fresno man and woman on suspicion of prostitution, various felony and misdemeanor weapons, and traffic violations.

Officers were chasing a vehicle in the

Wilson Way

corridor on suspicion of prostitution when they tried to make a traffic stop. The vehicle sped off, causing the officers to pursue them for a minute-long car chase.

The suspect car hit a concrete pillar near the intersection of Acacia and Harrison streets, ending the car chase. The driver attempted to escape on foot for a short distance after the crash, but the passenger was captured without incident.

A handgun was found in the vehicle, and 1.15 grams of PCP was found next to the car.

The 19-year-old passenger, Teonna Johnson, was arrested on felony weapons violations and on suspicion of misdemeanor loitering with the intent to commit prostitution. She was booked into San Joaquin County Jail, and was held in lieu of $103,000 bail. Johnson is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

On suspicion of felony drug possession, possession of a loaded weapon, and several other felony and misdemeanor violations, Kevin McClellan, age 22, was arrested and booked in San Joaquin County Jail. He is booked on a no-bail state parole hold and will also appear in court on Monday.
